Worker in critical condition after being shocked while working at a Florida Power & Light substation.

The incident was reported at the at the FPL substation at 3701 Bird Road on Wednesday.

Witnesses say the victim was working on a ladder about eight feet above the ground when he was shocked by wires and fell to the ground.

He was taken to an area hospital with head injuries.

Officials with Miami Fire Rescue reported that the victim is currently in critical condition.

It is unknown at this time whether or not the worker is a contracted worker or works directly for FP&L.
