The Sebastian Police Department is reporting that they found the body of a 93-year-old woman inside a freezer during a welfare check.
The discovery was made on Thursday at a home in the 100 block of Paddock Street.
Officials say a concerned neighbor contacted them after they hadn’t seen the victim, Marie Hoskins, in a while.
When authorities went to the home, no one answered. They then took measures to get a key from a relative to get inside.
Once inside the home, police say they encountered the victim’s 64-year-old daughter.
When authorities spoke to the daughter, she told them that she also hadn’t seen her mother in a while.
Police eventually found the victim’s body stuffed inside a freezer in the garage of the home.
The victim’s daughter ,who was not named in the report, is being questioned by police.
