Police in Clearwater, Florida have located and arrested a woman who reportedly attempted to steal a vehicle during a test drive.

The incident was first reported last Monday at Dayton Andrews Chrysler on 2388 Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard.

Authorities say the now identified 43-year-old  Johna Lamont, walked into a dealership and requested to test drive an 2018 Honda Accord. Lamont was allowed to drive off of the lot with the vehicle, however,  she never returned with the vehicle.

Officials located the car which was abandoned, sometime on Wednesday.

Lamont, who appears to have dyed her hair after the incident, was located over the weekend after someone recognized her and called the police.

She was taken to the Pinellas County Jail grand theft auto and scheming to defraud charges. Her bail was set at $15,000.
