
Linn County, Oregon– A woman in Oregon walked over four miles in search for help after she was beaten and then shot by her boyfriend.
The incident was reported on Saturday at a campsite near Detroit Lake in Linn County.
Officials say they received a call from other campers who told them that a woman walked to their campsite and claimed she was attacked by her boyfriend.
Authorities say the victim declined treatment for her wounds at first but was later treated at Santiam Memorial Hospital.
Officials then went searching for the woman’s boyfriend, identified as 36-year-old Christopher Ryan Favor.
He was located approximately four-and-a-half miles away from Highway 22.
Favor was taken into custody without incident.
He is now facing several charges including: Assault in the second degree, strangulation, kidnapping in the second degree, unlawful use of a weapon, felon in possession of a firearm, reckless endangering, and criminal mischief in the first degree.
Authorities are still investigating the case.
