MIAMI, FL–A woman from North Carolina has been arrested after she used a stolen credit card to book a family cruise to the Caribbean out of the Port of Miami.
31-year-old Lexus Moorer was booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on Sunday after deboarding the ship in Miami.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection and Homeland Security began investigating Moorer after the Royal Caribbean Group reported that she used eight stolen credit cards to book two staterooms on a 7-day cruise on the Oasis of the Seas.
When Moore was taken into custody, authorities say she still had four of the credit cards on her.
Moorer is facing eight counts of grand theft, eight counts of fraudulent use of a credit card, and four counts of unlawful possession of a stolen credit card.
According to the report, Moore spent $22,425 in fraudulent funds.
