A Georgia woman is now behind bars after she shot a teen in the face during a road rage incident.
The incident occurred on Sunday around 4:40 p.m. on Interstate 20 east near Chapel Hill Road in Douglasville.
The Douglasville Police Department says the victim noticed the woman in a black sedan following them after an incident that occurred several miles prior.
Authorities say the woman eventually pulled up on the side of the victim’s vehicle and fired at least one shot.
The driver then exited the roadway at Chapel Hill Road and fled the scene.
A witness in the victim’s vehicle was able to get a photo of the woman, which police posted on social media.
The woman identified as Brittney Griffith, eventually turned herself in later that day.
Authorities also learned that Griffith had three young children in her vehicle at the time of the shooting.

She has been arrested and charged with 4 counts of Aggravated Assault, 3 counts Cruelty to Children, and 1 count of Possession of a Firearm during commission of a felony.
She was denied bond during her initial court hearing on Monday.
The teenage victim is being treated in a local hospital and is expected to recover.
