Newhall, CA —
Authorities are investigating after a woman’s body was found inside of a clothing donation box outside of a store.
The discovery was made around 10:00 a.m. on Thursday near the corner of Orchard Village Road and Lyons Avenue.
Officials say they received a call about a woman who was stuck in the box:
“Deputies responded to Orchard Village and Lyons regarding a female stuck in a clothing collection box,” said Deputy Natalie Arriaga, a spokeswoman for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station. “Upon arrival, the woman was pronounced deceased by L.A. County Fire.”
Authorities say they believe the death was accidental, however, an investigation has been launched.
