A woman was killed while waiting at a stoplight at I-95 and 45th Street, according to the West Palm Beach Police Department.

Police said the victim, identified as Ashley Michelle Curtiss, 37, of West Palm Beach, was sitting in a vehicle when a shooting occurred just after midnight Thursday.

According to authorities, a passerby called police, but Curtiss died at the scene.
