
A Florida woman who has previously been convicted on DUI manslaughter charges in facing more DUI charges after she crashed her vehicle into a car dealership in Tampa.
Authorities attempted to pullover 24-year-old Jennifer Carvajal on Sunday after a FHP sergeant clocked Carvajal’s vehicle going 111 on the highway.
When the sergeant pulled up behind the vehicle, Carvajal made a sudden right causing the Hyundai to veer off of the road. The vehicle then hit an embankment which sent the car flying. The car struck a concrete light pole and a palm tree before overturning in the parking lot of the Gator Ford car dealership.
A 19-year-old passenger who was riding in the front seat was thrown into the backseat of the car while two passengers in the backseat were ejected from the vehicle. All passengers were rushed to an area hospital where a 22- year old was said to have died of their injuries. ,
According to the report, Carvajal was convicted of a DUI manslaughter charge in 2014 and sentenced to five years behind bars in 2015. Carvajal, however, was released early in 2019 and is currently on probation.
