(Charleston, NC)– Instead of going on a vacation, a woman ended up in police custody because she attacked her husband in an airport after finding indecent photos on his phone.
The incident occurred on Dec. 21st at the Charleston International Airport.
Authorities say they received a call from guest services around 2:50 p.m. regarding an “active domestic” dispute.
Witnesses stated that a woman repeatedly kicked her husband, tried to hit him in the face, and threw a phone at him.
When authorities arrived to the area, they found 55-year-old Paula Barbour and her husband in a heated argument and were forced to break it up.
When officials asked Barbour’s husband if his wife physically assaulted him he told them no, however, surveillance video and his wife reported otherwise.
Barbour explained to authorities that she saw indecent photos on her husband’s phone and that she just wanted to get away from him and fly home.
She was taken to the Al Cannon Detention Center on one count of third-degree domestic violence.
Barbour has since posted bail.
