(WEST PALM BEACH, Florida)– Authorities arrested a 21-year-old woman Wednesday in connection with a road-rage incident that took place Sunday.

Brien Golden of West Palm Beach allegedly opened fire at a vehicle and left a victim in critical condition last weekend.

Golden was arrested on the charges of one count of first-degree attempted murder and one count of shooting into an occupied vehicle.

The road-rage incident spanned nearly 2 miles, starting from North Australian Avenue and continuing to Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard.

The victim, a 44-year-old woman from Royal Palm Beach, was able to call 911 and followed the shooter’s car north on Interstate 95 to just north of the Martin County line despite being shot in the neck.

She was then airlifted to St. Mary’s Medical Center in critical condition.

After detectives identified Gloden as the shooter, she was taken into custody by Palm Beach Gardens and West Palm Beach police.

Golden was booked into the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday afternoon.
