Authorities in Houston, Texas are reporting that they have taken a woman into custody after she allegedly shot a man who followed her home from a nightclub.

The incident was reported at a home near Wainfleet and Benning around 2:30 a.m.

According to the report, the woman and the man where at a club and left around the same time. The man then followed the woman home and knocked on the door. The two then began arguing and at some point the woman fell. That’s where she pulled out a gun and shot the man in the leg.

Officials say they believe the woman and the man may have been in some sort of relationship:

“Right now, there are conflicting statements about what exactly the relationship is, but it’s possibly an intimate relationship,” Houston Lt. Christopher Bruce said.

The woman is in custody while authorities continue to investigate the incident.

The man is expected to survive the shooting.
