Tamarac, FL– The Broward Sherriff’s office has arrested a woman in connection with the death of a man in a Tamarac home.
The victim was found dead inside a home located near the 8800 block of Northwest 75th Court on Monday.
Authorities say they arrived at the home around 5:30 p.m. after what they are calling a “delayed report of a shooting.”
While crime scene investigators were at the scene, a woman sped through the neighborhood around 7:30 a.m. and began screaming through the window of her vehicle.
She was briefly detained and left the scene as soon as she was released.
Around 8:00 a.m., Authorities drew their weapons on a woman who appeared to be approaching the home from the back.
She was taken into custody.
While authorities have not given many details about the incident, neighbors reported that a couple lived at the home and that a woman was spotted leaving just after gunshots were heard.
Neighbors also reported that while the man who lived in the home appeared to be nice, there was often a police presence when his girlfriend was at the home.
It is unclear if the woman taken into custody is the person of interest in the case.
