SPRINGFIELD, IL– A 31-year-old was arrested after she stabbed an inflatable rat during a protest outside of a funeral home.
The incident occurred on Monday outside of Staab Funeral Home.
According to the report, protestors were gathered outside of the funeral home with signs and an inflatable rat to protest the funeral home’s decision to hire a roofer who is not part of a union.
During the protest, Lauren Staab reportedly damaged the inflatable rat.
She was taken into custody on a charge of criminal damage to property.
According to reports, the inflatable is reportedly valued at $5,000.
