Woman arrested after sending poisonous letter to the White House

Federal authorities have arrested a woman who reportedly attempted to send a poisonous letter to the White House.

The woman who was not named in the report, allegedly sent the letter addressed to President Trump last week before, it was intercepted by a facility designated to screen mail addressed to the White House.

According to the report, investigators found traces of ricin on the letter and the envelope.

Authorities were able to track down the woman who was later arrested near  the New York -Canada border.

Officials also say they believe that the woman is also responsible for sending a ricin laced letter to law enforcement agencies in Texas.

The incidents are said to still under investigation and authorities from Quebec have also joined in.

The suspect is expected to appear in federal court on Monday.
