A 26-year-old woman is facing charges after she allegedly put bleach in her boyfriend’s sleeping medicine.
The incident occurred at a home in Las Vegas, Nevada on May 12th.
The victim told police that he took his sleeping medicine and went to bed, but woke up hours later feeling light-headed and having stomach pains.
At some point, the victim checked his medicine bottle and found that it smelled like bleach.
The victim then checked the cameras set up outside his door and found that his girlfriend, 26-year-old Wendy Najera entered his room holding a bottle of bleach.
According to the report, the victim and Najera have been having problems in their relationship and currently sleep in separate rooms.
The victim also told investigators that he keeps his door locked so that Najera can not enter when he is not there.
After reviewing the tape themselves, authorities questioned Najera about the incident.
Najera allegedly told police that the room door was cracked open so she walked in.
When authorities asked her why she appeared to be struggling with the door in the video, she told them that her shoelaces became stuck in the door.
Authorities noticed that she was wearing sandals in the video.
Najera was taken into custody and booked on suspicion of poisoning or adulterating medicine.
Officials also took the medicine bottle in for testing.
