‘Airport Karen’ arrested after hurling computer at American Airlines agent at MIA, causes over $10,000 in damages

(MIAMI, FLA) — A woman was arrested on Tuesday morning after hurling a computer monitor at an American Airlines ticket agent at Miami International Airport.

Camila McMillie, 25, was waiting at a gate for a flight to New York City after being rebooked for missing her flight, when her children strolled away to the restrooms, according to Miami police.

When McMillie noticed her children were gone, she “became irate and began to scream, demanding the gate agent to find her children,” deputies told CBS Miami.

She then hurled a computer monitor at a member of the American Airlines staff, and threw equipment off a countertop area.

Miami-Dade police officers arrested McMillie at around 11:30 a.m.

She faces charges of aggravated battery, criminal mischief, and disorderly conduct.

McMillie appeared before Circuit Judge Mindy Glazer, who found probable cause for the charges. Her bond was set at $4,500.
