Strong storms, windy and turning cooler today with a “Gale Warning” at the beach!
Not often do you see a Gale Warning abutting the South Florida coast. Needless to say, boating conditions are very hazardous. Over land, a Wind Advisory is up for gusts to 40 mph. 90 degrees before the front arrives this afternoon with a few showers. Then temps dip into the 50s. pic.twitter.com/46oLB2LS8Z

At 239 PM EST, National Weather Service meteorologists were tracking gusty showers along a line extending from near Palm Beach to 10 miles west of Parkland. Movement was east at 50 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Deerfield Beach, Coconut Creek, Parkland, Boca Pointe, Boca Del Mar, Hillsboro Ranches, Hillsboro Pines and Sandalfoot Cove. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... These winds can down small tree limbs and branches, and blow around unsecured small objects. Seek shelter in a safe building until the storm passes.
