Secretary of State Antony Blinken is hopeful two Americans will be released from a Russian prison thanks to an offered swap.
In fact, Russia’s foreign minister says Moscow will propose a time for a call with Blinken about imprisoned Americans “soon.”
Blinken says he’s optimistic the prisoners will be freed.

He revealed this week that the U.S. had made Russia a “substantial offer” in an effort to have WNBA star Brittney Griner and former Marine Paul Whelan freed.
Many argue that this prisoner swap would set a dangerous precedent.
