
Update: Congratulations to The Miami Herald for winning the Pulitzer Prize for breaking news reporting.
The Miami Herald won the prize for their “urgent and sweeping” coverage of the Champlain Towers South Condominium collapse that occurred in June of 2021.
Their coverage of the tragedy were 98 people died was considered “clear, compassionate, and comprehensive.”

The “best in journalism” will be honored with Pulitzer Prizes today for their work covering 2021.
That means coverage of the Hunter Biden laptop, the Capitol Riot, the pandemic, and other critical stories could be frontrunners for the awards, handed out for the 106th time by Columbia University.
Fifteen journalism categories will be honored, along with seven from arts and letters. The announcement will be live streamed at 3 Eastern.
