What’s open and closed in the wake of Hurricane Nicole

(WEST PALM BEACH, FL)– As Hurricane Nicole moves away from our area here’s what’s happening with government offices and retailers:

Palm Beach county schools will reopen on Friday, however school athletics are cancelled until Monday.

Schools in Martin, St. Lucie and Indian River counties will be closed through Friday due to Veteran’s Day.

Florida Atlantic University and Palm Beach State College will be closed through Friday.

Evacuation orders for Palm Beach county have been lifted.

Most grocery stores are returning to regular hours, however you should check the status of your local store first.

Palm Beach International Airport has reopened, however check with your airline before heading out.

Palm Beach government offices including courthouses are closed through Friday

County parks will be reopen at 3:00 PM Thursday

PalmTran bus service resumed at noon on Thursday.

Tri-Rail will resume operating on Friday

Trash collection is suspended through Thursday

Palm Beach County Libraries will reopen Saturday

Port of Palm Beach is closed pending safety inspections
