West Palm Beach Police Department traffic investigators are urging the driver involved in the hit-and-run crash that gave a 4-year-old boy life-altering injuries to come forward.
Police say that the driver is not at fault for the crash itself.
Investigators say the boy is no longer in critical condition but still requires around-the-clock care.
“He sustained life-altering injuries and certainly will have a long road to recovery ahead,” said Mike Jachles, public information officer with the West Palm Beach Police Department.
Jachles also discussed a new update in the investigation, “Our investigators have determined that the vehicle is not at fault for the crash,” …”The 4-year-old boy darted out from his family while the light was changing.
“The driver is not at fault for the crash but we want to talk to the driver.”
Jachles shared this message with the driver.
“Do the right thing. The family just wants some closure,” Jachles said.
