West Palm Beach man arrested for sex trafficking

The Palm Beach Sheriffs Office is reporting that the have arrested a 23-year-old man who reportedly offered two teen girls payment for sexual favors.

Cheridon Tyler Edgar was arrested earlier this week after the two victims told authorities Edgar had been offering them “things of value” in exchange for sex.

According to the report, Edgar offered one of the victims an iPhone 11 and vape pens but when the teen no longer wanted to have sex with him, he reportedly threatened to return the phone and then sent her a video of himself with guns in his waistband. Edgar then allegedly began sending sexually explicit text to the girl’s father and her sister.

The second victim told investigators that Edgar gave her $150 for sex but then kept pressuring her for sex until she paid him back the money. The teen says when she tried to cut off all communication with Edgar, he became angry and then threatened to harm her and her family. Once the girl’s mother became aware of the threats, she contacted the police.

Edgar has since been arrested and is facing two counts of human trafficking and two counts of lewd and lascivious battery.
