Renaissance Charter School in Wellington, Florida was evacuated on Thursday after the report that a gun was seen on campus.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office was called to the campus around 9:30 a.m. after a teacher received a tip that a possible weapon was seen on campus.

Investigators reported that they did not find a weapon on campus but students were still evacuated out of abundance of caution.

Students were bussed to nearby Olympia Park leaving all of their belonging behind to be searched by police.

Parents were notified that they could pick up their children.

“All students and staff are safe and there is no immediate danger at the school,” a school spokesperson said.
