The defense is up next in the impeachment trial of former President Trump.
On the fourth day of Donald Trump’s second impeachment trial, the former president’s lawyers, Bruce Castor and David Schoen, will have up to 16 hours to present their arguments.
Attorney David Schoen says their argument will be clear, concise and brief.

In order for Trump to be convicted, 17 Republican senators would have to break ranks and vote along with Democrats. The Democrats’ fall-back if Trump is acquitted, the 14th Amendment, which would prevent anyone who has “engaged in insurrection or rebellion” from ever holding office.
