The second impeachment trial of former President Trump starts this afternoon in the Senate and should take more than a week to complete.
A single House article of impeachment accuses Trump of inciting the deadly mob attack at the U.S. Capitol on January 6th.

Trump’s attorneys will argue it’s unconstitutional to try the former President since he is no longer in office.
Most likely, the former president will not be convicted because that would require 67 votes in the 100-member Senate.
