President Trump is celebrating his acquittal in the Senate impeachment trial. During an event at the White House, Trump called the impeachment ordeal very unfair. He said it was part of a “witch hunt” that began the day he started running for president. The Republican-led Senate acquitted Trump this week on charges of abuse of power and obstruction of Congress in the investigation of the Ukraine scandal. Utah Senator Mitt Romney cast the only Republican “guilty” vote, on the abuse charge.

In earlier comments, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi insisted that Trump is “impeached forever..no matter what he says.” She said Trump will never succeed at “getting rid of that scar.”
