The House of Representatives has delivered the articles of impeachment against President Trump to the Senate, after Speaker Nancy Pelosi signed them late Wednesday afternoon for the third time in U.S. history.

According to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, the Senate plans to accept the articles at noon Thursday. Chief Justice John Roberts will be seated in the Senate at 2 p.m.

McConnell says the formal trial will begin on Tuesday.
