A brave customer is being credited with stopping a robbery, after he managed to disarm a gunman who attempted to rob a gas station. The incident occurred Wednesday at approximately 4:30 AM at a Chevron gas station. Surveillance video shows two men enter the store wearing face masks and pointing a gun. A gunman then walks near a customer while pointing the gun at the cashier. That’s when the customer took action.
The customer who was identified as a former U.S Marine, quickly grabs the gun and pushes the gunman to the ground. The other suspects then fled the scene. The customer detained the gunman that he disarmed until police arrived. The suspect is said to be a juvenile and has been booked into the Yuma County Juvenile Justice Center for one count of armed robbery and one count of aggravated assault. Deputies are still searching for the other suspects.
