Not all ambulances rushing through traffic are actually answering an emergency call, apparently.
Investigators say a man stole an ambulance earlier this week from a hospital in central Florida.
According to the Volusia Sheriff’s Office, the ambulance was stolen from AdventHealth Daytona Beach on Monday night.
Deputies tracked down the stolen emergency vehicle in Bunnell, which is located in Flagler County. Deputies there joined the pursuit.
They eventually pulled over the driver, who was identified as Keith Peacock, and booked him into the Flagler County Jail.
Peacock faces a charge of grand theft.
