In an effort to convince more people to get the COVID-19 vaccine, Washington State is allowing a promotion that will give those who get the vaccine a complimentary cannabis joint.

The Liquor and Cannabis Board (LCB) announced the decision on Monday after the State approved the promotion.

Under the promotion, state licensed cannabis retailers are allowed to provide one pre-rolled joint to adult consumers over the age of 21, who receive a vaccination at an in-store vaccination clinic or event up until July 12, 2021.

No other product is allowed to included or substituted in the person and the joint must be given to the customer during the vaccination visit.

Licensees will also be required to maintain records of all products provided.
