(FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA) — A Florida cat was sent back to a Broward County shelter for being too ‘affectionate.’
Jerry, a 4-year-old cat, was dropped off at a Fort Lauderdale shelter for allegedly ‘annoying’ it’s owners too much, according to FOX 35.
“Jerry is a sweet cat that loves to be pet and rub up against you, but his former owner said it annoyed her too much,” the shelter announced in post to Facebook. “Jerry loved her, but she didn’t love him back, so she turned him in to our shelter. Now he’s heartbroken and confused.”
Word spread like wildfire on the feline, with potential adopters expressing complete interest in Jerry.
The shelter announced the cat found a loving and forever family over the weekend.
“Jerry was adopted! Sweet Jerry has found a loving forever home where he can be as affectionate as he wants!”
