Footage has been released by Indian River County Sheriff’s Office showing an armed young man fleeing the scene of a traffic stop, WPTV reports.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, they stopped the vehicle after they believed the occupants were involved in a “shots fired” report was called in.

Authorities identified 19-year-old Jamall Frederick, of Fort Pierce, as the gunman.

Sheriff Eric Flowers has informed the public that the investigation is in its begining stages and ongoing.
