Video: Indian River Police rescue woman trapped inside of vehicle

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FL— The Indian River Sheriff’s Department helped save the life of a woman who became trapped in her car after a vehicle crash.
The crash occurred on Saturday, July 23rd, in the 6700 block of 57th Street.
Authorities arrived to the scene to find the vehicle partically submerged in water and the woman suspended upside down by her seatbelt.
Once they broke the window, they noticed the woman’s head was submerged in the water.
Deputies were able to cut the woman’s seatbelt and worked with fire rescue officials to load her onto a backboard. The woman was then airlifted to Lawnwood Trauma Center
She is said to be in stable condition.
It is unclear what caused the crash.
