Vice president Kamala Harris will visit Jacksonville around 2:30 this afternoon to highlight the “Help is Here” tour and COVID relief. She’ll visit a vaccination site and Feeding Northeast Florida.
Harris will take part in a listening session with groups distributing food in the area. Both Harris and President Biden have been vaccinated for the coronavirus.

Earlier this month, President Biden signed the nearly two-trillion-dollar relief package that included $1400 stimulus checks for most Americans.
It will Harris’ first visit to the Sunshine State since crisscrossing Florida last fall during the presidential campaign.
The American Rescue Plan is expected to bring and estimated $17 billion to Florida which will help defray costs of upgrading classrooms to prevent the spread of the virus between students in school.
Harris will depart Jacksonville International Airport around 6 p.m.
