The Kenosha, Wisconsin jury in the trial of Kyle Rittenhouse delivered a verdict of not guilty on all counts Friday afternoon.

The decision in the politically charged case came over a year after Rittenhouse, then 17, killed two people in self defense at a violent August 2020 protest following the killing of  Jacob Blake by Kenosha police.

National Guard troops and additional police are stationed in Kenosha to stem any penitential outbreak of violence following the not guilty verdict.
