PORT ST. LUCIE, FL– Authorities in Port St. Lucie are searching for a Dodge Caravan that was stolen with a non-verbal wheelchair-bound man still inside.
The van was taken from a convenience store in the 900 block of Southwest Bayshore Boulevard around 2:00 p.m. on Monday.
Authorities say a group home employee was transporting the 55-year-old man when they decided to stop at the store.
When the employee went inside of the store, an unknown man carrying a duffle bag got into the vehicle and took off.
Authorities are searching for a 2014 Dodge Caravan with a wheelchair ramp and FL Tag DKBD50.
The surveillance video of the suspect shows the suspect as a white male between 30-40 years old.
The suspect appears to be five feet nine inches tall and 190 lbs.
He was last seen driving north on Bayshore Blvd.
