US Woman Who Recovered From Coronavirus Says ‘Don’t Panic’

After attending a party in late February, Elizabeth Schneider started feeling unwell. At first, she chalked up her symptoms to the flu, but decided to get tested for the coronavirus.

Turns out, the 37-year-old in Seattle did contract COVID-19, although she received her results after she already started to recover.

Now speaking about her ordeal, Schneider wants to assure those worried about getting sick not to panic.

“If your symptoms aren’t life-threatening, simply stay at home, medicate with over-the-counter medicines, drink lots of water, get a lot of rest and check out the shows you want to binge-watch,” she tells the AFP, adding it’s important to avoid spreading to vulnerable populations.
