The suspect in road rage killing in Tamarac has been arrested.
The Broward County Sherriff’s Office announced Thursday that Melvin Foster, 52, has been arrested.
The suspect says that he was acting in self-defense.
It happened around 9:45 a.m. in the 8400 block of West Commercial Boulevard in Tamarac.
The victims name has not been released. He was pronounced dead after being airlifted to Broward Health Medical Center.
Foster told investigators that he saw the man reaching for something and he opened fire.
Foster remained at the scene and was taken into custody. He appeared in court Thursday and bond was set at 250,000.
