Ultra Music Festival returns to an already wild Miami scene

Five people were shot last weekend in Miami, now add 55,000 people attending the Ultra Music Festival tonight after a two-year pandemic pause.

Miami Police Chief Manny Morales says they’re beefing up the police presence to ensure crowd control.  However, 500 officers from South Beach and other agencies were unable to control the Spring Break crowd last weekend.

Even though Miami Beach has banned alcohol sales after 6 p.m. there will likely be lots of revelers opting to BYOB.
The three-day event is sold out, 55-thousand people are expected to attend daily and there are no COVID restrictions.

Ultra comes as Miami Beach remains under a Spring Break curfew after multiple shootings  last weekend.
