U.S. Gymnast Simone Biles out, Team USA wins silver

The GOAT, Simone Biles, the world’s most decorated gymnast, has pulled out of the women’s gymnastics team final due to a “medical issue.”
Biles apparently left the floor after executing one of her signature vaults. She still may compete in the all-around individual competition later this week.
After Biles walked off the floor, the United States team, which was expected to win gold, settled for the silver.
The Russian Olympic Committee pulled off the upset to take gold with a total score of 169.528. The U.S. finished with a final score of 166.096 and Great Britain earned the bronze with a score of 164.096.

Still no word on weather Biles will compete in the individual all around on Thursday.
According to Biles’ trainer, Biles is not physically injured.
Yesterday Simone Biles posted on Instagram: “I truly do feel like I have the weight of the world on my shoulders at times. I know I brush it off and make it seem like pressure doesn’t affect me but damn sometimes it’s hard”

Biles was replaced by reserve Jordan Chiles.
Team USA qualified second behind the Russian Olympic Committee for today’s finals.
