Authorities in North Carolina are currently investigating after two teen were found dead inside of a car parked at an elementary school.

The high school students were discovered by police on the Don Steed Elementary School campus on Sunday, after they received a suspicious vehicle call.

The victims have been identified as Britany Carolina Munoz Ramirez and Ailton Sebastian Tirado-Martinez, 11th graders from the Hoke County  high School.

Those who knew the two say they used to date but decided to remain friends.

Officials are reporting that their deaths do not seem related to a criminal act. They have also ruled out murder-suicide.

An investigation is still ongoing.
