(DUPLIN COUNTY, NC)– Authorities in a rural part of North Carolina are investigating after the bodies of two people were found in a home they recently moved into. The discovery was made on Nov. 9, at a home on John Rich Road in Warsaw.
The Duplin County Sheriff’s Office reported that they received a call around 3:00 a.m. from a witness who discovered the bodies.
“Deputies responded and located the bodies of Leslie Savage, 68, of the residence, and Craig Smith, 72, who had recently moved into the home.”
Authorities say they have a person or persons of interest but they have not publicly identified them at this time.
Officials have offered a $5,000 reward “for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible,” the sheriff’s office says.
