TV legend, Jerry Springer has passed away at the age of 79.
A family spokesperson reported that Jerry died Thursday morning, peacefully at his home in the Chicago area after battling a “brief illness.”
According to sources at TMZ, Jerry was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer earlier this year and just over a week ago, things took a turn for the worse.
Jerry was known for his successful and controversial show, “The Jerry Springer Show,” which reigned for 27 years.
When the show went off the air in 2018, Jerry started a courtroom show called “Judge Jerry,” which ran for 3 seasons.
Before his television career, Jerry served in Cincinnati’s City Council in 1971 and became the city’s mayor in 1977.
