(WELLINGTON, Florida)– Firefighters rescued a person trapped upside down underwater in Palm Beach after a truck flipped into a canal early Wednesday morning.

Firefighters with Palm Beach County Fire Rescue responded to calls about a car in a canal to find a truck overturned and taking on water and were able to pull the driver from the sinking vehicle.

The driver was brought to shore before being transported to a local hospital for evaluation.
