Tropical Storm Nicole 1:00 p.m. update

As of the 1 p.m. advisory from the National Hurricane Center, Tropical Storm Nicole is continuing to move west towards the Northwestern Bahamas at 12 mph.
Currently, Nicole has maximum sustained winds as near 70 mph but is expected to strengthen to Category 1 hurricane later on today.
Nicole is expected to remain a hurricane when it reaches the east coast of Florida tonight and weaken as it moves across the southeastern United States Thursday through Friday.
