(MIAMI, FLA) — According to the National Hurricane Center in Miami, Julia is moving west-northwest near the coast of El Salvador as it falls apart.
There is a risk of life-threatening flash floods and mudslides to continue across Central America and Southern Mexico through Tuesday. Currently the tropics are quiet.
Similar to Bonnie back in June, Julia found its footing shortly before making landfall across Central America during the overnight hours as an 85 mph Category 1 hurricane.
Despite a seemingly quiet Atlantic Hurricane season, it just take one storm, Hurricane Ian, to make a hurricane season especially costly and deadly.
