The Town Center at Boca Raton has decided to close it’s doors early on Monday after several social media post called for the community to protest the death of George Floyd at the mall. The mall closed at 2pm due to the “potential threats,” a security guard told our news partners at WPTV. According to social media post, the protest is set to begin at 5:00 pm on Monday. While many protest have peaceful, some have turned into riots, leaving a path of destruction in its wake. The Boca Raton Police department say they are aware of the situation and are monitoring it closely.
