HOUSTON, TX– Authorities are investigating after a body was pulled from a trashcan floating in a waterway.
The discovery was made on Tuesday around 6 p.m. in the Buffalo Bayou.
Authorities say a Buffalo Bayou excursion boat operator saw the container and smelled a foul odor coming from it so he contacted police.
A dive team was able to pull the trashcan to shore and when authorities opened it, they found a body inside.
It is unclear at this time how the person died.
The name, age, sex, or race of the victim has also not been reported.
The situation is still under investigation.
