An 18-month-old girl who fell from a third floor window is recovering in the hospital, and is expected to survive, police say.

Officials say the toddler fell down at The Cove at Boynton Beach apartments Wednesday evening. The toddler was taken to Delray Medical Center. She did not suffer any life-threatening injuries.

Police are investigating how the fall occurred.
